Deciduous trees, up to 15 meters, 60 meters in diameter at breast height. The crown is nearly globose, the branchlets are thin, the leaves are rhomboid, rhombus-ovate, the apex is sharp and acuminate, the base is wide and wedge-shaped, and the entire edge is wide. The petiole is slender and has 2 glands at the top. The inflorescence is terminal and the flowers are yellow-green. The fruit is flat globose, dark brown, and cracks when ripe. The seeds are black, with white wax on the outside, and persist on the fruit shaft that does not fall through the winter. Flowering period from May to July, fruit maturity period from October to November
